AARON RIPPLE was born in the State of Indiana on July 4, 1861. At the age
of nine years he was left without a mother's care. It was about this time
that he came to Iowa with his father. When grown to young manhood Mr.
RIPPLE engaged in farming for a number of years. In May, 1896, he married
Miss ADA FINKBONE, of Leon, Iowa. For some time past Mr. RIPPLE has been
living in St. Joseph where he has been in the employ of the railroad company
Three months ago he became too ill to continue his work there, but for
only one week has been confined to his bed. He passed away Friday afternoon
March 14th, at the home of his wife's parents six miles from Leon. His
death was due to lung trouble. He leaves besides the widow to mourn his
death, three children: KATIE, aged 16; VIRGIL, aged 12; and RAYMOND, who is
but six years of age.

The funeral services were held at the Leon Methodist Church Sunday afternoon
March 16th, at 3 o'clock. They were conducted by Rev. Guy J. Fansher,
Pastor of the Leon M.E. Church. Interment was in the Leon Cemetery. Three
hymns were sung by a mixed quartette of the Methodist choir. The bereaved
family have the sympathy of the community in their sad loss of husband and
father.
