ROSA SHOWERS IS TAKEN AT AGE 81 ... Rosa Nell Harris Showers passed away June 5, 1967 at the Cunningham Nursing Home at Leon, Ia.

Mrs. Showers was born July 4, 1885, the daughter of William and Priscilla Helton Harris. She was untied in marriage to William Earl Showers March 11, 1907 and to this union ten children were born. They celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary March 11, 1967.

She is survived by her husband and seven children, Millie Petty of Allerton; Vernon, Dewayne and Thelma Elmore of Leon; Ruby Chapman of Pleasanton; Lawrence of Decatur City; and Eldon of Davenport; twenty nine grandchildren and thirty nine great grandchildren.

Preceding her in death were one infant daughter and two sons, Floyd and Ralph, three sisters and three brothers.

Rosa N. Showers Services Today ... LINEVILLE, IA. - Services for Mrs. Rosa N. Showers, 83, who died Monday in a Leon nursing home, will be at 2 p.m. today at the Baptist church here. burial will be at Evergreen Cemetery. Surviving are her husband, seven children, 26 grandchildren and 32 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Wednesday at the Lineville Baptist Church for Mrs. Rosie Showers who passed away Monday morning at a Leon nursing home. Rev. Norris Ramsey officiated with burial at the Evergreen Cemetery.
