DEATH NOTICE:

(The Leon Journal-Reporter Leon, Iowa January 11, 2006)

LAMB, Clark Dewaine, 91, of Osceola, Iowa, died January 3, 2006 at the Clarke County Hospital in Osceola. Funeral services were held Saturday, January 7, at Hopeville United Methodist Church with Rev. Dwayne Henrichs officiating. Burial was in the Hoepville Cemetery.

Arrangements were made by Kale Funeral Home of Osceola.

CLARK DEWAINE LAMB ... Clark Dewaine Lamb, son of Casper Newton "Ike" Lamb and Margaret "Maggie" Grace Carrel Lamb, was born January 8, 1914 in Doyle Township of Clarke County, Iowa and passed from this life January 3, 2006 at the Clarke County Hospital in Osceola. He was 91 years of age.

Clark received his education in the Beaman Country School and remained in the Hopeville and Thayer area during his early years. On August 18, 1944, Clark was united in marriage to Bessie Beatrice Jackson at Winterset, Iowa. Two children, Maud Margaret (Mary) and Marjorie May were born to this union.

Clark spent many years working as a farmer and for the Highway Lumber Co. in Osceola. In later years, he worked as a self employed carpenter. His interests included mules, horse pulling, polka music, and anything antique. He enjoyed watching the weather channel and kept weather records for many years. He enjoyed spending time with his children and grandkids who considered him their hero. He was Grandpa to many who were not even related. Clark was affiliated with the Hoepville United Methodist Church in his younger years.

Preceding Clark in death were his parents; sister, Ruth in infancy; brother Carl Albert Lamb; brothers-in-law, Russell Busick, Doyle McConnell and Ralph Kriese; sister-in-law, Bonnie Reasoner and her husband Dale; nieces, Marlys Christensen and Martha "Marty" McHone.

He is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Bessie Lamb of Osceola; daughters, Maud Margaret Apodaca of Van Wert and Marjorie May lamb of Osceola; 5 grandchildren (which he helped raise), Anita Gilmore of Osceola, John Cannon and wife Rhonda of Osceola, Adam Cannon and friends Karen of Des Moines, Duffy Cannon and wife Diana of Grand River, Ryan Carson of Osceola; 17 other step great, great grand and great, great grandchildren, 8 of which had made their home with him through the years: Marlene Cannon Kellis, Brandie Carson, Allison Kendall, Danee Stitzman, Amyee Cannon, Bonnie Cannon, Traycee Earls, Colton A. Carson; sisters, Lorene Busick, Grace Kriese, Maxine McConnell, Alberta Foland and husband Eugene; as well as a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
