ELLEN ELIZABETH HUFF was born at Bainbridge, Putnam County, Indiana, Oct. 25, l85l, and died at Clarinda, March 30, l924, after an illness of nine months. She was 73 years old. At the age of l5 years, she moved with her parents to Decatur County, Iowa.

In the year of l868, she was married to JAMES D. EDMISTON, who died in l879. They were parents of five children, EFFIE, FRED, MAUDE, ODDIE and FLOYD. EFFIE, MAUDE and FLOYD died in infancy and ODDIE died in l900. One son, FRED, of Creston, is the only child living.

She leaves one son, FRED EDMISTON, of Creston, and two grandchildren, GLADYS and HAROLD; two sisters and one brother, to mourn her death.

Decedant was a member of the Presbyterian Church of Leon and was one of the oldest members of the Women's Relief Corps of Decatur City.

Funeral services were conducted by Rev. William Cain of the First Presbyterian Church at the McGregor and Coen Chapel on Tuesday, April l. Burial was in Graceland Cemetery, at Creston.
