MARY E. TALLMAN, daughter of GEO. and ANNA TALLMAN, was born in New Holland, Ohio, Nov. 29, l847, and died in her home in Leon, April 9, l924, at the age of 76 years, 4 months and ll days. Her mother died in infancy, and when eight years of age, in l855, she came with her father from Ohio to Leon, making the journey in a covered wagon. In and near Leon practically all of her life has since been spent. Feb. 27, l879, she was married to JAMES M. HARMON, and to the home thus established, there came four children. The oldest died in infancy, others survive their mother; MRS. MABEL DYER, MR. HERMAN HARMON, and MRS. LULU CHEW, all of Leon. MR. HARMON died the 28th of Jan. l9l6.

For the past five years, MRS. HARMON has been entirely helplessly bedfast. To her the end of life means but the end of suffering and helplessness, patiently borne, and it is with gratitude that we take thought this day of her Christian life and experience which assures entrance into that better and unending life. Sister HARMON was but a young girl when she joined the Methodist Church of Leon, sixteen or seventeen years of age, and all her life has been spent in the associations and fellowship of the church. In a very literal sense, it has been her life and now she has gone to be with Him whom having not seen, she loved.

Funeral services were held at the M.E. Church, Friday morning, April llth, at l0:30 o'clock, conducted by Rev. J.E. Habliston. Interment was in the Leon Cemetery by the side of her husband.
