IVA M. PARKER, daughter of BEALLE and MINNIE BROOKE, was born at Hamburg, Iowa, August 2nd, l89l, died at the home of her mother in Leon, Iowa, at four o'clock Saturday evening, March 22nd, l924, age 32 years, 7 months and 20 days. She moved with her parents to Decatur County in October, l89l, where the remainder of her life was spent.

On August ll, l909, she was united in marriage to JASPER N. BETHARDS; to this union were born two children; LUTHER LOVETT and CLARA ARLENE. MR. BETHARDS died January ll, l9l3.

She was later united in marriage to VIRGIL O. PARKER, on December 3l, l9l7; to this union two children were born, GUENEVERE MAXINE and RALPH VIRGIL, left to mourn the loss of a pure, kind and loving wife and mother, daughter and sister, are the husband and children, her mother, MRS. MINNIE BROOKE and her brothers and sisters: LEO D. BROOKE, of Clarinda, Iowa; RALPH E. BROOKE, of Ridgeway, Missouri; MRS. NETTIE WEBSTER, of Fruitland, Idaho; MRS. ELLA WEBSTER, of Garden Grove, Iowa and MRS. JESSIE BIGLEY and MRS. BEULAH BIGLEY, of Leon, Iowa. All of whom were present at the funeral excepting MRS. NETTIE WEBSTER.

IVA was always a kind and loving wife and mother, always ready and willing to do her part and was glad to help anybody in need or in sickness. During her long illness, she was uncomplaining and her first thoughts were for others. She will be sadly missed by her loved ones and by a large circle of friends and relatives, for to know her was to love her.

Funeral services were conducted by Rev. J.E. Clarke of the Methodist Church of Davis City, Iowa, at the Christian Church at Leon, Iowa. The floral offerings were many and beautiful. Interment in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery at Davis City, Iowa.
