MR. GEORGE WOODMANSEE was born in Decatur County, Iowa, Sept. l6, l850. His parents, JAMES and RACHEL WOODMANSEE were among the pioneer settlers of this county. He was united in marriage to LYDIA V. EURITT, Jan. 29th, l880. To this union were born three chidlren, JAMES E. WOODMANSEE, GEORGE E. WOODMANSEE and GOLDIE V. WOODMANSEE. Besides these children, he is survived by five grandchildren and by two brothers and one sister; JOHN WOODMANSEE, of Des Moines, Iowa; R.S. WOODMANSEE, of Indianola, Iowa; and MRS. W.H. GRAYSON, of Dinuba, California.

MR. WOODMANSEE made confession but never united with any church, not being near the church of his choice. He died March 27, l924, at the age of 73 years, 6 months and ll days. It can truly be said of him that he died as he lived with friends around him. He was never heard to utter an unkind word about anyone and no task was too hard, no night too dark for him to go in the aid of anyone who needed him. Such deeds of service live in the hearts of those who are behind.

Funeral services at the home Sunday afternoon, conducted by J.E. Habliston of the Leon M.E. Church. Interment being at Woodmansee Cemetery.
