JOSEPH ALFRED TRISLER was born near Bloomfield, Davis County, Iowa, and died at the home of his daughter, MRS. HARVEY BRILEY, near Garden Grove, Iowa, Dec. l7, l923, at the age of 72 years and l day. Moved to Decatur County, Iowa, in l85l. Was married to MARY ANN ARBAUGH, Feb. l8, l883. To this union were born two children, MRS. EDITH BRILEY and son, THEODORE. The wife and son having preceded him several years ago. Before he passed away, he professed faith in Christ and told his friends he was ready to go.

He leaves to mourn his loss, his daughter, MRS. EDITH BRILEY and five grandchildren, two brothers, JAMES, of Chariton, Iowa and one sister, MRS. WM. RICHARDS, of Ottumwa.

Funeral services were conducted from the M.E. Church at Garden Grove by Rev. Frank Garber. Interment was made in the Trullinger Cemetery.
