RACHEL CATHARINE STARKEY was born in Ohio, May 22, l833. Died October 22, l923, at the home of her son, JOHN GIBLER, with whom she has made her home for about thirteen years, being at the time of her death 90 years and 6 months. RACHEL BALLIEU was the eldest child of JESSE and RACHEL (MUNDS) BALLIEU. She was united in marriage to LEVI COLLINS at the age of l6, two children were born to this union; one son, W.C. COLLINS, of Lamoni, Iowa, survives. She was again united in marriage to EDWARD GIBLER, four children survive this union; ALBERT, FRANK, ROSETTA and JOHN, the husband and one daughter having passed on before. She was united in marriage to S.S. STARKEY about l893 who preceded her in death. She leaves thirty grandchildren, 74 great grandchildren, and 5 great great grandchildren. She united with the Baptist Church at the age of l4 years and lived continually in her faith. Thus has passed a good mother, grandmother and kind neighbor. May her soul rest in peace.

Funeral services were conducted by Rev. Chas. Hickman. Interment being beside the husband, EDWARD GIBLER, near the old home, Mt. Moriah, Mo.
