WILLIAM JACKSON PARKER, was born in Jefferson County, Iowa, in August, l845 and departed this life at his cousin's home near Decatur, Iowa, March 2, l923, aged 77 years, 5 months. The early years of his life were spent in Jefferson County. He had made his home with his cousin, WILLIAM P. AKES for a number of years.

He was interested in the ideals that make for a better community and world. He leaves to mourn his death, a brother, ED PARKER, of Leon, Iowa; two cousins, WILLIAM P. AKES, of Decatur; G.L. SAGE, Leon, Iowa; and a number of friends.

The funeral was held Friday, March 2nd at Palestine Church and burial following in the adjacent cemetery. The services were conducted by Rev. Olmstead, Pastor of the Leon Christian Church.
