GUSSIE LANE, daughter of MR. and MRS. T.C. LANE, was born July 2l, l887, near Woodland, Iowa, and departed this life, June l6, l924, age 36 years, l0 months and 25 days.

Most of her life was spent in Woodland and High Point townships. She was united in marriage to MR. T.R. KONKLIN of High Point Township, March 22, l907. To this union four children were born: MARGUERETT, GLENDORIS, MARY and RUTH, who with the husband and her father and mother, and three sisters; MRS. JAMES SKINNER, of Cambria; MRS. EVERETT KONKLIN, of Leon, Iowa; MRS. ERNEST HAMILTON, of Garden Grove, Iowa; also two brothers, MR. CLEM and GEORGE LANE, of Woodland, Iowa, remain to mourn her departure. One brother, THOMAS, died September l8, l9l2.

About two months ago, MRS. KONKLIN was taken ill and never recovered. She was a devoted wife and mother.

The funeral was held Wednesday, June l8, l924, in the Methodist Episcopal Church in Garden Grove, at 2 p.m., Rev. C.R. Young in charge, after which the body was tenderly laid to rest in the Garden Grove Cemetery.
