MRS. J.W. STILL, an old and highly respected citizen of this city died at the family home in south Cainsville, Saturday morning, June l4, l924, following a long illness with comsumption. She was 62 years old.

She was born Jan. 3, l862. She was married to J.W. STILL on Christmas day at Leon, Iowa, thirty-one years ago. She was the mother of five children, (*can't read - paper torn) HOLLAND PARIS, DONALD STILL, HUBERT STILL, and baby VERA, who died twenty-three years ago at the age of ten months. She took a mother's place in any way she could to the two step-children, MAYME WOODARD and ERNEST STILL. She also leaves one brother, SHERMAN HOLLAND.

She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Cainsville. In her last days she was a patient sufferer and talked to her loved ones and said she was going to a better world. She fell asleep at 5:30 a.m. Saturday morning, June l4, l924.

Her funeral was conducted at the residence, Sunday at 2:30 by her Pastor, Rev. T.H. Wiles, who after some comforting scriptures, talked on the subject "The God of all comfort." The singing was led by W.J. Burrows with other members from the Baptist Church. A goodly number of friends and loved ones were present to extend their sympathy to the bereaved. All the children were present except the step-son, WM. STILL, of St. Paul, Minn. Her body was laid to rest in the Oaklawn Cemetery, beneath a beautiful floral offering.
