REBECCA E. STILL, daughter of MEREDITH and ELIZABETH STILL, was born in Montgomery County, Mo., Aug. l7, l846, died at the home of her daughter, MRS. JOHN BARRETT, July l4, l922. She has been a resident of Eden Township, Decatur County, almost her entire life time, coming to Iowa when a small girl and also living near Cainsville, Mo., for a period of three years.

She was married to JAMES H. COZAD, Jan. l9, l87l. To this union were born three children, one dying in infancy. The other two, MRS. GEO. MOORE, of Wood, S. Dakota, and MRS. JOHN BARRETT, of near Leon, Iowa, are left to mourn the loss of a mother. She belonged to a large family, having twelve brothers and three sisters. All of them living to middle or old age except two, though they have all departed this life except three, JESSE STILL, of Woodland, Iowa; MRS. GEO LAFOLLETTE, of Leon, Iowa; and RUFUS STILL, of Cainsville, Mo. She also leaves three grandchildren and a large number of other relatives and friends.

Her husband died June l0, l902, since which time she lived alone the greater part of the time. She was a member of the New Salem Baptist Church for about sixty years.
