ELIZABETH ROWLAND was born February 8, l857, in Cambria County, Pa., and died Tuesday, July ll, l922, at 9:25 p.m., being 65 years, 5 months and 3 days old. In her childhood she moved with her parents to Shenoa, Illinois, but most of her young life was spent in and near Bloomington, Ill. She was converted when a young girl, but did not unite with the church until after she married.

She was married to JAMES CRESWELL, March 6, l877, at Randolph, Ill. To this union were born 4 children, JONNIE, EMILY, WM. G. and ARTHUR J., all who survive the mother and were at her bedside when the end came. MRS. CRESWELL was the last of a family of ll children. The family moved to Iowa in l896, and settled in Decatur. The second Sunday they were in town, they united with the M.E. Church and Sister CRESWELL was faithful and devoted to the church and her Lord through all the years. She had been in failing health about 4 years but was brave and patient through it all. Saturday, July 8th at 3 p.m., she suffered a stroke of paralysis which caused her death. She bade her family good-bye, told them what she wanted done about the funeral and chose the songs, and requested that her Pastor conduct the services, which were held at the Methodist Episcopal Church, Thursday afternoon at 2:30. The husband and children have the sympathy of the entire community in their sorrow, but they have the blessed hope of being with mother again, where the parting will never come again and where they will be an unbroken family forever.

The body was tenderly laid to rest in the beautiful Decatur Cemetery to await the resurrection of the dead.
