JOHN B. CRAWLEY, son of JOHN and MARY FRANCIS CRAWLEY, was born on Dec. l8, l879, and departed this life March l5, l922, being 43 years, 2 months and 27 days old.

He was married to ESSIE, daughter of AMBROSE and LUCY EVANS, on August 2l, l898. To this union were born four girls, MRS. ALMA HELON, of Des Moines, Iowa; MRS. ROBERTA MELSON, of Decatur; MISSES MARY FRANCIS and RUTH, of Decatur, Iowa.

His wife and oldest daughter were with him at his death, which occurred at the hospital at Savannah, Mo. Besides his family, he leaves to mourn his departure his aged father and four sisters, MRS. JAMES MOORE, MRS. DELL CHAPMAN, MRS. MOLLIE STEVENS and MRS. MAGGIE ALEXANDER. One sister preceded him to the Great Beyond.

In early life he became a Christian and united with the Christian Church at Fairview, of which he was ever a faithful member.

Funeral services were conducted at the Fairview Church on Friday, March l7th, by Rev. Henry Esch, Pastor of the Cainsville Christian Church, after which interment was made in the Fairview Cemetery.
