MISS GRETCHEN MYERS, daughter of MR. and MRS. W.E. MEYERS, former
residents of Leon, was married at the home of her friend, MRS. R.G.
LAYTON, in Mason City, last Saturday evening to LAWRENCE L. LEWIS, of
Des Moines. They returned to Des Moines after the ceremony where MR.
LEWIS takes a prominent part in the May Music Festival at Drake
University. They expect to go soon to Wilton College, near Davenport,
where they have a five years contract as teachers in the musical
department of that institution. The hosts of Leon friends of the bride
extend to MR. and MRS. LEWIS their heartiest congratulations.
