Last Wednesday at high noon CALVIN L. SMITH and FLORENCE E. GATES both of
High Point Township, were united in marriage by Elder A.L. Sears at his home
in High Point. They were accompanied by WILLIE SMITH and Miss MELVA CRONIN,
who acted as witnesses to the ceremony. Mr. SMITH is the son of Mr. And Mrs
FRANK SMITH, and Miss GATES is the daughter of JOHN GATES, both of High
Point Township, and well and favorably known in this vicinity. These young
people are well known by a large circle of friends who join us in extending
congratulations and wish them a long and prosperous voyage over life's sea.
The happy young couple will begin housekeeping at once on a farm four miles
southwest of High Point where they will be at home to their many friends.
