Ernest Wimp

Ernest Wimp, 90, route 3, Bloomfield, died at 9:50 a.m. Thursday at Bloomfield Manor.

A retired farmer, he was born Aug. 9, 1891 in Davis County to Samuel and Sarah McGrew Wimp. He was a lifetime Davis County resident and a member of the Dunnville Baptist Church.

He married Cora Lough on Sept. 10, 1911 in Davis County. She died in 1973.

Survivors include two sons, Vester of Bloomfield and Verlin of Des Moines; five grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Monday at the Wagler Funeral Home, conducted by the Rev. Marvin Martin. Burial was in the IOOF Cemetery.
