Wray rites scheduled
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday for Arthur R. Wray, 87, who died at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday at Bloomfield Silver Haven after a lengthy illness.
The funeral will be conducted by the Rev. M. Claire Shupe at the Wagler Funeral Home. Burial will be in the IOOF Cemetery. The family will be at the funeral home from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Friday. The casket will be closed at 1 p.m. Saturday.
He was born in Davis County on Feb. 21, 1883 to Harvey and Allice Corrick Wray. He was a lifelong resident of the county and a farmer, retiring in 1964.
He was a member of the Bloomfield United Methodist Church, a former member of the Davis County Board of Supervisors and a 50-year member of the Bloomfield Masonic Lodge.
He married Charlotte Davis in 1966. She preceded him in death. He married Margaret King Dunley Feb. 9, 1945. She survives.
Other survivors include one son, Robert Wray, Cedar Rapids; one step-daughter, Mrs. Judy Haubrich of Pittsburgh, Pa.; one sister, Mrs. William W. Wishard of Hendersonville, N.C.; and four grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one son, Jack.
A memorial payable to the Bloomfield United Methodist Church, has been established.
