MILDRED A. WILSON
Mildred Alice Wilson, 74, of Memphis passed away march 10, 1987 in the Scotland County Memorial Hospital, Memphis. She was the daughter of William Earl and Bertha Alice Hayes Garrett, born September 19, 1912 in Scotland County.
She attended Memphis Public Schools and graduated from St. Joseph School of Nursing in Keokuk, Ia. as a Registered Nurse. She worked most of her life at Davis County Hospital and Gilfillan Clinic in Bloomfield, Ia.
She was united in marriage July 17, 1934 to Darby Wilson in Keokuk, Ia. and to this union one daughter, Virginia was born.
Mildred is survived by her daughter, Virginia Marsden and husband J.W. of Kirksville; one brother, Mansel Garrett, of Memphis; two sisters, Maxine Walker of Memphis and Betty Jean Napier, of Richardson, Texas; four grandchildren, Christi L. Marsden, Kansas City, Cathy L. Stewart, Warrensburg, Paul R. Marsden, Kansas City and Jay W. Marsden, Kirksville; several nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
Mrs. Wilson was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.
She was a member of the St. John's Catholic Church, V.F.W. Ladies Auxiliary and the Daughters of Isabella.
Services for Mildred A. Wilson were held March 14, 10 a.m. from the St. John's Catholic Church in Memphis. Father Philip Moriarty officiated. Organist was Jo Ann Peters. Body bearers were Bill Lefler, Bruce Lefler, Brice Lefler, Bill Blake, Paul R. Marsden and Jay W. Marsden. Burial was in the Keokuk Catholic Cemetery, Keokuk, Ia. Arrangements were by Payne-Gerth Funeral Home, Memphis.
