Funeral is held for Brumley
Funeral services were held this morning in Burlington for Joseph R. Brumley, who was dead on arrival Saturday at the Burlington Hospital.
The funeral was held in Burlington and burial was this afternoon in the Pulaski Cemetery.
He was born Aug. 22, 1888 in Davis County to Christopher and Louella Haney Brumley. On Nov. 1, 1916, he married Ethel Saunders in Bloomfield.
He formerly was employed with the Benner Tea Co. in Bloomfield and Milton and operated two grocery stores in Burlington before retirement.
He was a member of the Pulaski United Methodist Church, the Pulaski Masonic Lodge, and OES of Burlington.
Survivors include his widow; two daughters, Mrs. Romana Thayer of Albuquerque, N.M., and Mrs. Doris Kelley of Danville; one son, Richard of Spokane, Wash.; two sisters, Mrs. Anna Huddleston of Joliet, Mont., and Mrs. Edith Anstein of Ottumwa; and 10 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, three sisters, and one granddaughter.
