James T Wardlow, 55 years old, a former Bloomfield resident, died at his home in Hedrick Tuesday afternoon. Before moving to Hedrick, Wardlow was a C B & Q railroad brakeman for 15 years, living in Ottumwa. Funeral rites were held this afternoon at the Wardlow home in Hedrick in charge of the Rev H O Rundell of the Presbyterian church. Burial was at the Ottumwa Cemetery. He is survived by his wife, Mary; two daughters, Mrs Ivan Shipley, of Ottumwa, and Mrs James Riley, of Bend, Ore., one son, L F Wardlow , of Wheeling, Ore., one step daughter, Mrs C D Downs, of Chicago; his father, Bennett B Wardlow and his brother, Paul, both of Bloomfield. ~ Bloomfield Newspaper 28 March 1935.
