George William Smith, son of Mr and Mrs Otis Smith, was borned May 19, 1922, at Tainton, Iowa and departed this life on St Valentine day, February 14, 1934, at the age of 12 years, 9 months and 5 days. He leaves to mourn, his parents, Mr and Mrs Otis Smith and four sisters, Gladys, Virginia, Lilah and Wilma, and three brothers, Orval, Marvin and Deverene, all at home and his grandparents, Mrs Ida Smith, of Unionville, Iowa, Mr and Mrs George Holcomb, of Blakesburg, Iowa and a host of other relatives and friends.
He was converted and united in the Nazarene church, of Bloomfield, November 1934 and lived a Christian life until the end. Funeral services was held at 1:30, at home by Rev Lewis Waters and he was layed to rest in the Taylor cemetery Dear Georgie we will miss you;
There will be one vacant chair.
But we pray God will help us,
To meet our darling over there.
