A K Duckworth did at his home in Bloomfield, Sunday, January 3, 1892, aged 77 years.
A Duckworth was born in Berk County, South Carolina, Nov 31?, 1811. At the age of six years he moved with his parents to Washington County, Iowa. Then to Davis County in 1849,
On located on a claim in Wyacondah township. He was married in 1838 to Miss Mary Stone of Putman county, Indiana, and ten children born to them, one of whom, James M was killed at Donelson. Mrs Duckworth died in 1854 and Mr Duckworth was married to Miss Ellen Grady of this county, who died in 1876, leaving one son, A P Duckworth. Mr Duckworth was elected representative of Davis County and filled the office with credit to himself and honor to his county. His later years were spent here among us, and all who knew him were his friends. The useful citizen, and kindly, genial old man will be missed and mourned. The funeral occurred at the residence, Tuesday and interment at Shook Cemetery.
