Ottumwa tri-weekly courier, September 05, 1912 THOMAS—Wednesday, Sept. 4, 1912, at 2:15 a. m., at her home ten miles south of Ottumwa in Soap Creek Township, Davis County, Mrs. Susanah Thomas, aged 6? years. The decedent was an old resident or Iowa having lived in the state forty five years. She was one of the early day school teachers in the vicinity where she lived. She is survived by a half-sister, Mrs. S. M. Calhoun of Wichita, Kan., and niece Mrs. Frank Schafer of Ottumwa, and nephews J. A. Lutz of Ottumwa, C. L. Lutz of Davenport, and E. C. Hopwood of south of Ottumwa.
The funeral will be held tomorrow at the residence at 1:30 clock and at the Zion church at 2:30 o'clock. Interment in Zion cemetery.
