Ottumwa tri-weekly courier, September 17, 1912 E. A. HANSHAW DEAD AT DRAKEVILLE Well Known Citizen Succumbs Leaving Wife and Three Children Relatives In Ottumwa.
News of the death of E. A. Hanshaw at his home one mile east of Drakeville, at
1 o'clock this morning was received by Ottumwa relatives today. Mr. Hanshaw had been a sufferer for some time and his death was not unexpected, the immediate survivors are his wife and three children. Mr. Hanshaw was 40 years of age, and had lived all his life in the vicinity of Drakeville, where he was highly respected. He was a kind and devoted father and husband, and a man whose friendships were numbered of his acquaintances. He was affiliated with the A. O. U. W. The funeral will be held tomorrow afternoon at 2 o'clock at the residence. The pastor of the Methodist Episcopal Church, of which the deceased was a consistent member, will be in charge. Interment will be made In the Drakeville cemetery. The Ottumwa relatives of Mr. Hanshaw are his mother-in-law Mrs. S. E. Pickett, Mrs. Harry Eager, George J. Pickett, Clyde A. Pickett and Frank Pickett.
