Ottumwa tri-weekly courier, May 09, 1912 T. D. MUNN DIES AT DES MOINES Belknap, May 7—T. D. Munn received a telegram this morning stating that his brother John L. Munn of Des Moines, was dead. On Wednesday May 1, he was operated on for appendicitis. Funeral services are to be conducted Thursday at Drakeville, where interment will be made. Mr. Munn's young manhood days were spent at this place, where he for a time ran a general store and was postmaster. He later left here to enter other pursuits. While here he was married to Miss Ella Guile of Drakeville, who with their three children are left to mourn his departure. He also leaves a father and mother Mr. and Mrs.
J. T. Munn four brothers. W. E. Munn of Danville, D. M. Munn of Oklahoma, A.
J. Munn of near Bloomfield, and T. D. Munn of this place, two sisters, Mrs.
Catharine Bell of Carmen, Okla., and Mrs. Ella Hockersmith of Ottumwa. His is the first death in the family circle. Mr. Munn was highly respected for his integrity and uprightness and his departure will be mourned by a large circle of friends and business associates. Mr. Munn was a member of the Christian church in which faith he died.
