Mrs. Minerva Kinkade died May 8, 1911, at the home of her son, J. S. Kinkade, one mile south of Ottumwa, at the age of 84 years, 5 months and 28 days.
Interment will be made at Savannah. Minerva Brunk was born in Kentucky Nov, 7, 1826. She was united in marriage to Samuel Kinkade Oct. 10, 1843. To this union were born twelve children, four of whom, with her husband, preceded her in death. The surviving children are Mrs. Jane Meredith of Litchfield, Ky.
Mrs. Harriet Cundiff of Louisville, Ky. Mrs. Bruner of Perry, Okla. J. B.
Kinkade of Pine Bluff. Wyo. W. T. and C. F. Kincade of Bloomfield Mrs. M. W.
Brooks of Ottumwa and J. S. Kincade, also of Ottumwa. She had made her home with the latter since the death of her husband. She was a faithful Christian from the time of her early youth, a loving wife and devoted mother, and made many friends by her unselfish, kindly nature. She had 37 grandchildren, 62 great grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
