Ottumwa tri-weekly courier, April 11, 1911 William H. Wooden was born at Gladstone, Ill., Aug. 8. 1846 and died at his home near Bunch, March 30, 1911, aged 64 years. He leaves to mourn their loss a wife and seven children, Mrs. Effie Wright of Galesburg, Ill. Mrs. Kate Gorden, of Ottumwa Mrs. Mary Hays, of Ottumwa Mrs. Orpha Garner, of Bunch Miss Maude Wooden, of Bunch Charles Wooden, of Bunch John Wooden of Drakesville.
Mr. Wooden united with the Christian church at West Union, Iowa, and expressed his readiness to meet his Savior. He was a kind hearted man and lived for his family rather than for himself. His children in turn were good to him and did everything they could for him. The funeral service was held at the Baptist church of Bunch, con ducted by E. A. Hastings of Bloomfield and interment was made In the Paris cemetery. A large crowd was present to show their respect for the deceased and sympathy for the bereaved.—Contributed.
