Sam Garner, Resident 40 Years, Dies
Sam Garner, 70, 606 Weller St., died at the Ottumwa hospital today at 9:30 AM.
He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. John Garner and was born at Unionville April 14, 1866. He had lived in Ottumwa for the last 40 years, was a member of the S. B. A. No. 657. Surviving are his wife, Carrie; two daughters, Mrs. Will Malone of Wichita Falls, Texas and Mrs. G. H. Wingo of Fort Cobb, Oklahoma a stepson, Floyd Sedore of Ottumwa, a stepdaughter, Mrs. Guy Johnston of Kirkville, and a brother Oliver Garner of St. Lawrence S. D. Service will be Tuesday at 3:30 pm in Johnson’s funeral chapel, conducted by the Rev. A. L.
Worth. Burial will be in Eben Taylor cemetery near Drakesville.
