Mildred Lanman Robinson

BLOOMFIELD - Mildred Lanman Robinson, 88, of Bloomfield, formerly of the Selma area, died at 1:40 p.m. Tuesday, April 9, 1996, at Davis County Hospital in Bloomfield.

The service will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Eldon Congregational Church, with the Rev. David Albert officiating. Burial will be in Bethlehem Cemetery Davis County south of Eldon. Open visitation will begin at noon Thursday at Pedrick Funeral Home in Douds, with the family present from 7 to 9 that night. Memorials to Bethlehem Cemetery may be left at the funeral home.

Mrs. Robinson was born June 1, 1907, in Davis County, the daughter of Dallas and Eva Alexander Parker. She graduated from Selma High School in 1925. On Nov. 4, 1925, she married Marvin Lanman. He died Nov. 27, 1972. In 1976, she married Joseph Robinson, who died in 1986.

She taught in rural schools, was a farm homemaker near Selma, with her first husband operated a grocery store in Douds, and had been employed at Parsons Colege and Nelson Nursing Home in Fairfield. She and her second husband lived in Omaha, Neb., moving to Bloomfield in 1984. She entered Bloomfield Care Center in 1986.

She was a member of Bethlehem Christian Church and previously had been active in the Selma and Bloomfield United Methodist churches.

Surviving two daughters, Lucille Garmon of Benson, Ariz., Irene Moore of Eldon; a son, Lloyd Lanman of Bloomfield; 11 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and a stepsister, Reva Nicklin of Floris. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Frank and Rex Parker; a sister, Reva Stagers; and two grand-daughters.
