Mrs. Evelyn Hampton, 69, of Brooklyn, Iowa, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Harry Lee, 529 Albany St., Sunday at 5 PM. She was the daughter of Jacob and Mary Young and was born at Grand River, August 26, 1867. She had been in Ottumwa for two weeks. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Harry Lee of Ottumwa and Mrs. C. R. Hines of Denver, Colorado, and two sons, Earl Hampton of Ottumwa and Thane of Hampton, Iowa; 12 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. One brother, Harrison Young, Creston also survived.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 1:30 PM at Johnson's funeral Chapel, conducted by the Rev. W. J. Creswell. Burial be made in the Silent City cemetery, Bloomfield.
