Resident Of Ottumwa 35 Years Dies
Stephen (Barney) Bunnel, 68, 2138 Emma Street, died Monday at 1:15 PM at 1042 Tuttle St. He was the son of Samuel and Sarah Bunnel and was born in Davis County, October 2, 1869. He had lived in Ottumwa for the last 35 years. He survived by two sons, Ralph Bunnel of Ottumwa and Raymond of Seattle, Washington; three grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Sarah Hutching of Bloomfield; two brothers, William and Arthur Bunnel of Ottumwa and to half-sisters, Mrs. Cleo Messersmith of Ottumwa and Mrs. Nellie Graham of Des Moines. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 10:30 AM at the Johnson funeral home, conducted by the Rev. Erritt M. Boyer. Burial be in the Ottumwa Memorial Lawn cemetery.
