Viola Zoe White, 87, a resident of Parkview Care Center and formerly of Bloomfield, died at Jefferson County Hospital Tuesday, July 2, 1991.
White was born Dec. 8, 1903, in Davis County, the daughter of James William and Lillie Mae Brunk Hall. She married Emmett White Feb. 14, 1923, in Iowa City. He died Aug. 15, 1976.
She was a member of Bloomfield Christian Church, Christian Women's Fellowship, Women's Relief Corp, The Goodluck Club, Prairie Home Club, The Waubonsie Club, and past president of the American Legion Auxiliary.
Surviving are a daughter, Marie Hill of Fairfield; one grandchild; two great-grandchildren; one sister, Maxine Ellenberger of Ottumwa; and two brothers, Hersel of Ottumwa and Jay of Bloomfield.
She was preceded in death by three sisters and one brother.
The funeral service will be Friday at 10:30 a.m. at the Priester Funeral Chapel in Bloomfield, Robert Gates officiating. Burial will be at Drakesville Cemetery.
