Ottumwa Courier December 29, 1936

Mrs. Rosa McConkey, 70, died at her home, near Bladensburg, at noon Thursday.
She was a charter member of the West End Presbyterian Church here. She was born in Davis County August 20, 1866, the daughter of Isaac and Nancy Rundell.
Her first husband, P. P. Lykins and her twin sister, Mrs. Mary Altken, preceded her in death. She was married to A. H. McConkey, July 26, 1927.
Surviving are her husband; adopted son, Wilmer Pelham of Kirkville, a brother, the Rev. A. D. Rundell of Hedrick, and two grandchildren. Services will be held at the McConkey home, two miles north of Bladensburg, Thursday at 1 PM conducted by the Rev. E. R. Mitchell, pastor of the West End Presbyterian Church. A brief service will be held at the West View cemetery in Kirkville at
3:30 PM. Pallbearers will be Marion Sterner, Earl Sauers, George Decker, Roy Davis, Ray Davis and Earl Ward.
