G. Birchmier rites Saturday

Grace Helen Birchmier, 96, died Wednesday at Parkview Care Center.

She was born Jan, 1891, in Anthony, Kan., the daughter of Harrison and Hannah Woolley McDowell. On Aug. 11, 1915, at Cherokee, Okla., she married Charles Birchmier. She was a homemaker, former resident of Davis County and a member of Troy United Methodist Church in Troy.

Mrs. Birchmeir is survived by a daughter, Buelah Cremer of 611 W. Adams Ave.; a son, the Rev. Charles LaVerne Birchmeir of Marengo; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and a brother, Ray McDowell of Girard, Kan.

She was preceded in death by her husband in 1972; a son; four brothers and five sisters.

Funeral services will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at Wagler Funeral Home at Bloomfield with the Rev. Ellis Andrews officiating. Burial will be in IOOF Cemetery at Bloomfield. The family will be at the funeral home from 7-8:30 tonight for visitation.
