Helen Cassatt

BLOOMFIELD - Helen H. Cassatt, 86, of Bloomfield died Sept. 29, 1996, at the Long Term Care Unit of Davis County Hospital in Bloomfield.

She was born May 9, 1910, in Keosauqua to James R. and Nellie Maude Roush. She married E. Cassatt on May 12, 1928, in Bloomfield; he died Oct. 12, 1987.

The couple farmed together for many years in Davis County. She was a member of Bloomfield Christian Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Chloe Cassatt; and a brother, Otto Carruthers.

The service will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Priester Funeral Chapel in Bloomfield, the Rev. Quentin Johnson officiating. Burial will be in Sunnyside Cemetery in Milton.

Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. today at the funeral chapel with the family present from 6 to 8 p.m.

Memorials may be made to the donor's choice and may be left at the funeral chapel.
