Have hand copied obit notes on my gg grandmother, Mary Isabell Barto, 04-01-1857 to 07-11-1926. Obit said her parents settled in Dallas County in 1853 and Mary Isabell was one of the first white children born in Dallas Co.

Am looking for information on her parents or spouse. Parents were John Barto and Margaret Stump. Mary was married to Robert M. Speer on 04-18-1878. At her death in 1926 it was listed that she had a sister Minerva Barto (Mrs. James Alcott) of Van Meter. She also had a step brother, Mr. M. J. Graham of Adel and a step sister, Mrs. J. L. Simcoke of Des Moines.
