In Response To: Harrison L. Travis (Judith A. Smith)

If you're still looking, there is a Harrison F. Travis, b. 1838, Pennsylvania in the 1870 Madison county census w/ wife Elizabeth and daughter Rose. Looks like same Elizabeth(Smith) w/ Rosa and George in the 1880 Hardin county census. HF Travis is in Portland, Oregon at that time. If this is the same Harrison, he is the son of James and Permelia Travis origionally from Indiana county, Pennsylvania, on to Shelby County, Illinois and by 1870 living in Madison county, Iowa. Harrison, a Civil War vet went on to live in a series of homes for disabled veterans and finally died 14 Sept 1911. Buried Mountain Home National Cemetery, Tennessee. All these Harrisons were carpenters, so I'm thinking they are one and the same. I am interested in any information you can share!
