To Michael Aldrich,------ I noted the family of Irvin Aldrich and Anna Stump when I was compiling data about seven years ago for the genealogy: SOME QUAKER FAMILIES: SCARBOROUGH/HAWORTH, a seven volume work which can be found in large genealogical libraries. I have little data about the Aldrich family, but the ancestry of Anna Stump can be traced back many generations in this genealogy.

Children: Eva E. Aldrich b. c 1874, d 7 May 1893, bur. Thornton Cem., Dallas Co., IA;---- Clara B. Aldrich 1876-1894, bur Thornton Cem., Dallas Co., IA;had a child Johnie Aldrich 1894-1894, bur Thornton Cem.;---- Walter Aldrich b c 1880; -----
Hubert D. Aldrich b 1881, d 4 June 2963 m 19 Sep 1900 Maude Stump b 28 Aug 1882 d 4 June 1963, dau Albert Stump and Margaret _____, both bur Luverne, OK Cem; they had four sons and 1 daughter, including Homer Aldrich b. 4 Jan 1911 in Waukee, IA, d 9 June 1998 at the Kavanaugh House of West Des Moines, m 12 Dec 1931 in Waukee, IA Kathryn Gresham,--- They lived in Waukee, then moved to West Des Moines, then moved to Redfield, IA, --- Children: Robert Aldrich, not living in 1998, Charlene Aldrich m ____ Stapes, Sandra Aldrich m. ______ Hill. (Data for the Homer Aldrich Family taken form the obituary of Homer Aldrich, "Dallas County News", Adel, IA, June 18, 1998).
Anna Stump, wife of Irvin Aldrich, was a daughter of Daniel Stump and Anna Golden. Anna Golden was a daughter of Richard Golden and Susannah Haworth. It appears that Anna (Golden) Stump died within a few days after the birth of her daughter, Anna. Anna (Golden) Stump and her parents, Richard and Susannah (Haworth) Golden, are buried in the Otterman Cemetery north of Van Meter, Iowa. Daniel Stump is buried in the Thornton Cemetery northeast of Van Meter, IA.
