Robert Trent, 80, passed away peacefully March 8, 2012 at Iowa Methodist Medical Center. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Monday, March 12 at McCalley Funeral Home in Adel with burial at Walnut Township Cemetery in Waukee. Friends may call after noon Sunday at the funeral home where family will greet friends from 2 to 4 p.m.
Bob grew up in Panora, he later married Pearl, and they had 57 years together. Bob raised his family in Waukee, where he was a homebuilder. He loved farming, his cows, and building things. Bob was a caregiver to his wife for many years. He was kind, patient, helpful, and always had time for his family.
He is survived by his children, Barb (Jeff), Carla (Dan), Dan (Angela), and Steve (Wendy); 13 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Verlee and Imajean; and two brothers, Merle and Keith.
