Page 10, Column 2Daisy Elizabeth Carter, 92, of Stuart, died Jan. 3, 1997 at the Community Care Center in Stuart. Funeral services were Jan. 6 at the First Congregational Church in Stuart with the Rev. George Thurman officiating. Burial was at the Dexter Cemetery.
She was born July 27, 1904 to Jacob A. and Mary Etta (Uhl) Siegenthaler near Menlo. She was united in marriage to Lyle G. Carter of Dexter in Guthrie Center on Dec. 21, 1922. She had received her education in the Menlo school and surrounding country schools. She had been a member of the First Baptist Church in Guthrie Center and had taught Sunday School and Bible study.
She was preceded in death by her parents; four brothers; two grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.
Surviving relatives include two sons, Floyd Carter and wife Goldie of Dexter, Lloyd Carter and wife Marjorie of Des Moines; two daughters, Marge Partlow and husband Duane of Stuart and Mildred Brower and husband Bill of Columbus, Neb.; one brother, Arthur Siegenthaler of Winterset; one sister-in-law, Helen Hadley of Stuart; 11 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and 12 great great-grandchildren.
