Graveside services for Mrs. Myrtle Woods were held Friday afternoon at 2:30 in the Dexter cemetery.

Mrs. Woods was born in 1877 at Wilton, Iowa and passed away in the hospital at Van Horn after a lingering illness at the age of 84 years. She was married to Joshua Woods in 1896. Five sons blessed their home.

She and her husband lived in Dexter for a number of years where Mr. Woods was employed at the Dexter Elevator. They moved to Van Horn in 1933. Her husband passed away in 1956. Two sons, Floyd and Ervin, also preceded her in death.

Survivors include three sons, Frank and LaVerne at Van Horn and Perle at Englewood, Colo. Also several grandchildren and two brothers, Archie of Ottumwa and Steve of Dexter.
