Henry William Smith was born September 17, 1860, near Lima, Ohio, and died Monday, April 27, 1936, in his home in Stuart, Iowa at the age of 75 years, 5 months and 10 days.

Mr. Smith was married to Miss Cuma Russell forty-seven years ago. Soon after their marriage, about 45 years ago, they moved to Iowa. Soon after coming to this state they settled in the Penn Center community. Later they moved to Dexter, Iowa, and lived there until they came to live in Stuart eleven years ago.

Mr. Smith united with the Penn Center Methodist Episcopal church and later transferred his membership to the Dexter Methodist Episcopal Church.

Mr. Smith was a kind and considerate husband and a good neighbor. He will be very much missed by his devoted wife.

Those left to mourn his death are his wife, four brothers: Howard, Edd, Bert and Charles, all living in or near Lima, Ohio; one sister, Mrs. C. C. Creps, of Lima, Ohio; and numerous other relatives and friends.

The funeral service was in the Linn Funeral Home at 2 p.m. Thursday conducted by Rev. Roy E. Gugeler. Burial was made in the Dexter cemetery.
