Isaac Cornelius White was born in Mosquito Township, Ill., June 11, 1881, and passed away at Marshalltown, Nov. 23, 1947 at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Scadden with whom he had made his home during the past five years, while employed at the Marshall Canning Co., at the age of 66 years, 5 months and 12 days.

Mr. White was the son of John and Lavina White. He was married May 8, 1924 to Gertie Sowder at Dexter, who passed away in 1941. He spent many years in Dexter, and proved to be a good friend and neighbor.

He is survived by three brothers, Anderson, Charles and Amos of Heltonville, Ind.; one step-daughter, Mary Mercer of Winterset, and three step-grandchildren, Lillian, Merle and Carl Mercer, and a host of friends.

Funeral service was held from the Welch Funeral home at Dexter, Nov. 26, with Rev. Olson officiating. Mrs. Lewis Webb sang two songs with Mrs. R. P. Weesner at the piano. Committal at the Dexter cemetery. The pall bearers were John Love, Charles Coulter, Arthur Mount, Orval Bast, w. D. Knight and Otto Pierce.
