C. C. Chafa received word Sunday morning of the death of his only sister, Mrs. Alva Clark who passed away that morning at 6:15 at her home in Los Angeles, Calif.

Mrs. Clark was formerly Miss Marie Chafa and had spent many summers here with her brother and family and had many friends here who will be sorry to hear of her death. The funeral will take place at Dexter, Ia., this afternoon in the Methodist church. Burial will be made there. Mr. and Mrs. Chafa left this morning to attend the funeral.
