Rick Stewart, 54, was born November 14, 1957, in Indianapolis, Indiana, the son of James L. and Marie (Deutschberg) Stewart. He passed away Monday, May 21, 2012, at Iowa Lutheran Hospital.

Rick was a tool and die machinist, a construction worker, and he loved collecting antiques.

Rick is survived by his mother, Marie S. Gilbert; son, Gregory Arthur Stewart; daughter, Chastity (James) Bradley; brother, Terry Lee Stewart; several grandchildren and other loving relatives. He was preceded in death by his son, Ricky Stewart, Jr.; his brothers, James Stewart, Jr., and Gregory James Stewart and his father, James Stewart.

The family will greet friends from 3 to 5 p.m., Friday, May 25, 2012, at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, with funeral services to begin at 5 p.m. Cremation will follow the funeral, and graveside inurnment will take place at 1 p.m., Tuesday, May 29, 2012, at Dexter Cemetery.
