Ambrose Mylan, 83, of Redfield died of kidney failure on May 4 at Iowa Methodist Medical Center at Des Moines. Burial was in the Dexter Cemetery at Dexter.

He was born at Algona and had lived at Redfield since 1934. He was a retired bookkeeper for the Redfield Brickyard and the bean plant.

Survivors include three sons, Lloyd, Virgil and Keith, all of Redfield; a daughter, Donna Meyers of Dallas Center; a sister, Frances Knight of Tooele, Utah; 18 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
