Eveline Delia Morgan, daughter of Nathan and Lois Morgan was born near Galesburg, Illinois, February 17, 1855, and died at Stuart, Iowa, December 11, 1926, aged 71 years, 9 months and 24 days.

She received her early education in the rural schools and in high school, and later studied music with a blind musician, a refugee from the Chicago fire. She became well known for her musical ability and taught music for a number of years.

On January 12, 1879, she was married to James Edward Woodman of Woodhull, Illinois. Mr. Woodman came to Adair county, Iowa, in 1880, settling on a farm near North River.

Mrs. Woodman joined her husband there in 1881. On the trip, she and her father and her infant daughter were compelled to cross the flooded Mississippi river in a small boat.

In 1883 she moved with her family to Villisca, Iowa, returning to Dexter, Iowa in 1887, where she lived on a farm at the north edge of the town. Her husband died in March, 1901, and in August of that years she moved with her children to Ames, Iowa, where she has since maintained her residence.

She was a member of the Methodist Episcopal church at Ames, Iowa.

She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Louis Agg of Ames, one son, Forrest of Stuart, and eight grandchildren.

Funeral services were held from the Congregational church Monday afternoon, conducted by the pastor, Rev. Cutler. Interment was in the Dexter cemetery. The pall bearers were Roy Belden, Doice Raber, A. W. Lee, G. A. Chittick, R. J. McKee and Fred H. Nolte.

Prof. and Mrs. Agg and two daughters from Ames, were present at the services.
