Bev was born on January 9, 1941, to Stanley and Georgia (Blake) Gildow in Hartford, Iowa. She grew up in the Carlisle area and attended school in Hartford. On September 22, 1962, Bev was married to Kenneth “Kenny” Haynes in Carlisle, Iowa. To this union they were blessed with three children: Michele, Teresa and Michael. The family made their home in Dexter. Bev worked at the Des Moines Register and Tribune, the Iowa Department of Revenue and lastly Casey’s. In 2009, Bev moved to Stuart.

She was a member of the Red Hats Club, Book Club and several Bible Study groups. She loved to read, play cards with her friends, bingo, shopping and eating out. She was a huge fan of the Hallmark Channel and greatly enjoyed going to the theater to see a movie. In her younger years, she was an avid bowler. She loved spending time with her friends and family and was always up for anything. She always said if there was a car going somewhere, she was going to be in it!

She leaves behind to remember and celebrate her life: her children: Michele (and husband Rich) Rogers of Linden, Teresa (and husband Rick) Putney of Dexter, Michael (and wife Diana) Haynes of Dallas Center. Also surviving are her siblings, Mary Floyd of Carlisle and Gary (and wife Becky) Gildow of Fremont, NE, her grandchildren: Steven (and wife Christina), Chelsea (and husband Mark), Andy, Blake, Chris, Dalee; great-grandchildren, Logan and Calvin; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and countless friends.

Bev was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Kenny; and granddaughters, Laura and Sarah.

Bev was called Home, but her memory will live on in all of us.
